Patented Extech device combines noncontact voltage and light detection with RF transmission technology. Remotely identifies AC wiring, circuit breakers, switched lines, AC outlets and light fixtures. Clamped over a live wire or Romex cable, the transmitter sends a visual and audible signal to the receiver (up to 300 feet) to alert the user that the circuit is live.
